Wonderful country pub, with great food. We had the carvery on a Sunday and we're really impressed with everything. They were really busy, but managed to accommodate 4 of us and our doggie between reserved customers. Thank you
Dog friendly pub with good beer and generous portions of decent food (pork belly with black pudding and pheasant stew both very good). Rooms ok- could have done with a reading light, less worn towels, and a new carpet on the stairs. The delicious breakfast more than compensated.
Stayed here overnight with Brit Stops, This is an ideal stop over either before or after walking Dove Dale as it is only 2 miles of beautiful scenery away. . Lovely warm welcome. We both enjoyed our meal. I had chicken in a creamy white sauce and Rob had roasted belly pork. Both were cooked to perfection . Good local ales and a small section of the bar where we could take the dog. The prices were good and we both had 2 courses plus real ale and cider for just under 30.. All in all everything we wanted without any fuss . Many thanks to everyone for a lovely stop over.
