Excellent camp site, well-maintained, clean, peaceful and beautiful countryside surrounding it. The toilets/showers, as most people have already stated, were great, with the heating left on so nice and toasty, especially on the cold weekend that we had. Ideal location for walks down to Dovedale and the surrounding areas. Would also recommend the next village Milldale which is lovely, as well as the Carriages restaurant in Newhaven, about 10 minutes up the A515

Excellent Campsite. Really good location for walking around. Lovely pub opposite. Really clean and friendly site, the toilet and shower blocks are amazing. Would highly recommend!

Lovely, small but perfectly formed campsite with luxurious bathroom facilities. Hot water and central heating, ideal for cold nights under canvas. Beautiful location with great walks and cycle trails on the doorstep.

A very pretty and small campsite. A good walk to Dovedale. 4 very lovely toilets (2 of them have hot and powerful showers) and it's obvious the owners make a special effort to keep them nice and well decorated. There were also some chickens and it seemed like that on some days you could buy eggs from them but unfortunately there weren't any when we were there. There is no shop nearby but there is a pub which seemed nice enough when we went for a drink. My only complaint was that we couldn't find our plot as there wasn't a name put out for us, however we seemed to be the only people with that issue. Overall, very lovely and peaceful campsite and I would definitely visit again.

A superb little campsite, in a wonderful location. There are only about 15 or so pitches in two fields. We had a 'small pitch' which was ample for our 4m x 5m tent, a bit of outside sitting / cooking space and the car. The bathrooms are amazing - warm, clean, high quality and with a very 'on trend' vintage look. Always hot water and the individual bathrooms make it very private. Washing up facilities also great. We stayed for bank holiday so the site was full - but so quiet - no loud music or noisy groups, just couples and small family groups, all rubbing along peacefully. There is a lovely pub across the road - during the summer it closes on Sunday evening. There is no shop in walking distance - I guess that Ashbourne would be nearest, if you need any supplies. Loads of great walks from the site though, so if you come prepared and want to just kick back and relax this is the place for you. Park up, get out your walking and boots and enjoy! The noisiest thing here were the lambs in the next field!
